FACTORY: State of the Art Machinery manned by a multi-skilled workforce
Britannia Windows has a reputation for unrivalled levels of product quality, developed through twenty years of heavy investment in new machinery, staff training and quality control systems.
Britannia Windows has invested over £1,000,000 in machinery making our factory one of the most automated in the UK. Britannia can manufacture up to 1000 windows and doors a week to extremely close tolerances resulting in unrivalled quality.
Investment includes a fully automated sawing and machining centre and two automated welding lines with robotic handling.
Staff are trained to a high level of expertise with an emphasis on multi-skilling. Throughout the manufacturing process each member of staff is responsible for checking and signing off quality, with each product going through up to 10 quality checks prior to despatch, resulting in unrivalled quality standards.
In addition to our own meticulous quality procedures, our windows have been independently tested by the British Standards Institution to BS7412 and BS7413. Britannia also operates an ISO 9001:2000 quality management system.
